About Nogara sobre lías

Valtravieso Nogara is a white wine from the D.O. Rueda produced by the Valtravieso winery with the Verdejo variety.

Valtravieso began life in 1983 with one goal: to exalt the personality of a territory; a clear commitment to quality productions provided by the innate characteristics of the place and by applying the most modern winemaking techniques.

A quarter of Valtravieso Nogara's grapes come from very old vines - between 85 and 90 years old. The rest are strains that are around 20 years old. The harvest is carried out manually at the optimum moment of ripeness, and selecting each bunch.

Once in the cellar, the grapes from the oldest vines are fermented in French oak barrels. The rest ferment in stainless steel tanks. After alcoholic fermentation, Valtravieso Nogara undergoes ageing on lees for 5 months.

Valtravieso Nogara is a unique Verdejo with the freshness of youth and the body that ageing on lees gives it.

2018 Valtravieso Nogara 2018 is a very aromatic wine that reminds of green apple, citrus and vegetable notes. On the palate it is balanced, fresh and rounded.
