About Zuccardi Polígono Tupungato Sémillon

In Mendoza, the Andes Mountains are not merely a breathtaking landscape; they also define the identity of the wines. The climate, water, and mountainous soils ensure that each vineyard possesses its own unique character. In the Valle de Uco, this diversity is palpable in every village, every plot, and every cluster.

This is how Polígonos was born, the collection from the esteemed house of Zuccardi that transforms the valley's villages into wines. Each of these locales, inhabited by vintners for generations, boasts its own geography, soils, and microclimate. Imagining these villages on a map, their shapes resemble polygons: different edges, sides, and angles, as diverse as the wines they produce. Hence the name, and hence each bottle is a unique expression of its origin.

One example is Zuccardi Polígono Tupungato Sémillon, originating from the El Peral region, at an altitude of 1,200 meters. Its alluvial soils, with layers of gravel and limestone, combined with cold nights and a cool microclimate, impart a distinctive character to the sémillon grapes. Fermentation with native yeasts and maturation in untoasted French oak barrels preserve the authenticity of the terroir.
