The Macallan A Night On Earth is a Scotch whisky boasting a warm, natural amber hue, which on the nose offers aromas of rich butter complemented by notes of vanilla, baked apples, shortbread, plums, and almonds. On the palate, it is exceptionally velvety, with a gentle sweetness where flavours reminiscent of marshmallow, dried oranges, figs, and cinnamon emerge against a subtly toasted backdrop. This whisky pays tribute to the renowned Scottish Hogmanay celebrations on December 31st, infused with hints of dried orange and spices, perfect for savoring alongside shortbreads.

In the enchanting transition from one year to the next, The Macallan commemorates Hogmanay (31st December), the iconic Scottish celebration, with a single malt that encapsulates the spirit of unity and hope that defines this tradition. The Macallan A Night on Earth in Scotland is an homage to Scotland's cultural richness and the rituals that illuminate the year's final night.
 
Designed in collaboration with Erica Dorn, renowned for her illustrations for Wes Anderson's films, and crafted from a selection of The Macallan's exceptional sherry casks, both American and European oak, alongside American ex-bourbon casks, this limited edition evokes the warmth of bonfires and the "first-footing" traditions, where the first visitor of the new year is welcomed with shortbread (the renowned Scottish butter biscuits), coal, and whisky, symbols of prosperity and comfort for the year ahead.
 
With each sip, this single malt reveals the sweet character of butter biscuits, intertwined with notes of dried orange and festive spices, evoking the taste of Scottish hospitality.
