Podere Le Boncie 5 is an organic red wine produced by the Podere Le Boncie winery with the Sangiovese variety in IGP Tuscany (Italy).
Podere Le Boncie is a winery located in Castelnuovo Berardenga, one of the seven communes of the Chianti Classicoarea. A family project with 4 hectares of vineyards which has been managed by Giovanna Morganti with great skill since the 1980s. Authentic wines which are an inspiration for both natural wine producers and those who produce Chianti.
Podere Le Boncie 5 comes from a vineyard of mainly Sangiovese grapes and other local varieties such as Colorino and Foglio Tonda. Vines planted in 1995 on stony soils and surrounded by forests, olive groves and vineyards. The vines are cultivated using organic agriculture and the harvest is carried out manually when the grapes reach optimum ripeness.
In the cellars the vinification of Podere Le Boncie 5 is traditional. Firstly, the grapes are destemmed and crushed and then fermented spontaneously with native yeasts and skin maceration for 10 days. Finally, the wine is aged for 8 months in wooden barrels and 6 months more in the bottle.
With a name that indicates the number of varieties which make up the wine, Podere Le Boncie 5 is a blend made from the classic grapes of Chianti Classico. The little brother of this winery which transmits its Tuscan origins at the first sip.
