Tasting notes El Pispa 2024
Red wine Aged in wood.
El Pispa 2024 is a vibrant and flavourful red wine that reveals on the nose a generous blend of ripe red and black fruit, enveloped in mineral nuances and a subtle background of dried thyme and well-integrated roasted notes. On the palate, it enters smoothly, almost silky, and soon gains volume with a fresh energy that keeps it agile and balanced. The fruit reappears distinctly, accompanied by a pleasant texture that makes it easy to enjoy without losing character. The finish is long and clean, with a fruity echo that lingers like the last light of the evening over an open landscape.

About El Pispa
There are wines that appear at just the right moment, like someone crossing your path on a quiet street and altering the pace of your day.
Raventós Codorníu crafts Vinos del Paseante with a very clear vision: that of an explorer traversing Spain in search of wines with genuine identity, free from pretence. In Montsant (Catalonia), this perspective lands on terraced vineyards, white stone, thyme, and that sensation of a dry yet vibrant landscape that seems to be inhaled even in silence.
El Pispa embodies just that: a red wine of garnacha with vigour and ripe fruit, featuring a mineral note reminiscent of sun-warmed rock and a subtle hint of roasting that adds depth without becoming heavy. It is one of those reds that doesn't seek to impress, yet ends up being more enjoyable than expected.
In the glass, it is agile, flavourful, with a balance that makes it easy to enjoy without overthinking... yet with enough character to be remembered afterwards.
El Pispa is a red wine perfect for a cheerful and well-set table, with cured meats, aged cheeses, freshly cut bread, sautéed mushrooms, or grilled meat. The natural conclusion to those plans that start insignificantly and end up being the highlight of the day.
