Crafting an exceptional champagne is a noteworthy accomplishment. Achieving consistency in style and quality year after year is a remarkable feat. Indeed, this has been the enduring challenge faced by Bollinger, steadfast in its philosophy of maintaining a uniform style across all its bottles. This identity is perfectly encapsulated in Bollinger Brut Special Cuvée, the purest expression and emblem of the maison. 
 
In 1911, when the time came to name this sparkling wine, the term Brut Sans Année was technically accurate, yet too impersonal for a creation distinguished by its depth and elegance. It was then that the British agent of Georges Bollinger suggested an alternative: Special Cuvée. A simple name, even written in English, that more aptly conveyed the essence within the bottle. Over a century later, it remains the champagne that best embodies the maison's style: precise, complex, and extraordinarily consistent. 
 
Bollinger Brut Special Cuvée is crafted with grapes sourced directly from the premiers and grands crus with which this house works. Specifically, thirty of the finest crus of the AOC Champagne are used in the creation of this sparkling wine, where pinot noir (sourced from Aÿ, Tauxières, Verzennay, and Louvois) and chardonnay (Le Mesnil s/ Oger, Oger, Cuis, and Grauves) are blended. Ultimately, the finest production processes ensure that Bollinger Brut Special Cuvée becomes a magnificent champagne, balanced and delicate. 
 
After all, it is the sparkling wine that most accurately defines the style of this aristocratic house.
